Oudtshoorn Practical Shooting Club
The sport is called IPSC shooting also known as the Internationally Practical Shooting Confederation and entails sport shooting with the handgun, shotgun and semi-auto rifle. Positions are then calculated according to time and accuracy and you are placed on a scale. The athlete with the best “factor” will be placed first. The sport of practical shooting is growing tremendously and requires one to use your own firearms and ammunition. It provides an unmatched skill set to the firearm owner. The overall winners in the handgun categories were Fritz Viljoen 1st, Quinton Janse van Rensburg 2nd and Hein Venter 3rd. The rifle category was led by Fritz Viljoen 1st, Gert Harmsen 2nd and Quinton Janse van Rensburg 3rd.
The next competition will take place in Jan 2024. If you have any further enquiries please contact Nico at 0636931554.
