CRICKET NEWS – South Western Districts Cricket is ready and excited to host the high-profile Cricket South Africa National Boys u.16 tournament in December this year.

This event will be hosted, with Oudtshoorn as a base, from 10 to 14 December. Matches will also be played in George.

“We are excited to host this event in our province,” commented SWD Cricket chief executive officer Albertus Kennedy. “We pride ourselves in hosting high-profile events and the hosting of a professional event is important in promoting the image of our organisation and our stakeholders and supporters in the province.

“The local organising committee under the leadership of Gary Moos (the cricket services manager) is equipped with the skills and knowledge to host such an event and [do justice to] our quest for operational excellence.”

SWD will be aiming to host the elite Khaya Majola u.19 tournament in the near future.

SWD was also awarded the CSA Tertiary B-week tournament that will be held in George from 28 November to 1 December.
